just treated myself to a LCD last weekend, well worth the money and the wait.....

As for Car, i would love another Miggy, another gold one, poss a 3.2 with every concievable extra...

For a weekend driver i would love (and will get one day) an 80's 911 3.2 carrera, in grand prix white or black, with the sport body, whale tail spoiler and G50 box, this is an iconic 911 and a shape that i love. it never seems to age.

i have a whole list of lifes 'wish list' some of them are cheap, others are a little dearer

Get real!

That Theo looks like Batman's Boat ;D
It was in 'The Island', but has been around far longer than that.  The price is obscene.

As for the various cars being discussed, it is interesting how the more new stuff there is and the more it costs the less interesting it is.  Maybe the good old days really were better, at least when it comes to cars.  As an amusing aside, there's an Ascari on Autotrader for 50K.  Don't think you can get anything remotely as fast for the price, unless there's some deal on an Ultima that I haven't seen.

The price is obscene.

Running costs would be relatively dear, too, at 15 US Gal per nautical mile!

I just don't think that there is that much good stuff to watch to justify something like that.

Damn right. I did a little work on HDTV in the early 90's when it was just starting to be played with by a few broadcasters. Finally it is available in the home and I haven't got the slightest interest because there's nothing worth watching on it.

OK, being a little more realistic I didn't realise that you can get a nice 996 C2 for about 20K.  Not particularly fast, but that could be tempting if I had the money.

And for pure amusement, I am almost certainly getting this;

I would love my old Mk2 RS2000 escort back. 2.1 fully balanced and lightend engine with twin 48 dellortos bolted to a big valve head with fast road cam, straight cut gearbox turning a LSD, boy was that a fast car back in the 80's and to be honest would still see off most modern so called sports cars today, and a whole lot of fun to drive, propper balls to the wall performance. I sold it when the kids came along for a fraction of what it cost me to build and to buy one with the same spec and condition today would be upward of 8K...........................oh to have a crystal ball :-?

Every time we discuss anything other than Omegas, and sometimes with Omegas, several people jump in saying how whatever is being discussed is cr@p.  There are some things that I don't like, such as Microsoft, Orwellian erosion of rights, and the current crop of new cars.  It is getting to the point that I struggle to think of things that I want to get, and I don't have very much.  The only thing that I can think of that I got in the last couple of years that I really like other than the Omega is an LCD TV.

Is there anything that most of us think is worth getting any more that we don't already all have?  This can include cars, but obviously we already have Omegas.
