Cat repellants
« on: 25 April 2011, 10:45:06 »

Our garden is being used as a cat toilet - what can stop them?

Have tried stones, water pistols, mind you the one who invaded the rabbit hutch is here less often.

We found most repellents wash away after the rain but if you have some thorny roses when trimmed put them in the area being used by the cats the won't go near it.
failing that the cat pepper powder works well until it rains :y

keep the garden wet for sometime (I know from our cats they hate to poo when outside is wet) , then they get used to use another garden ;D

Mix pepper in discreet parts of the carn

Orange/lemon peel scatterered arround

Jayes fluid on the paths.

Jif lemon sqeezy at hand, or fill a water pistol with a strong lemon mix (aim for the nostrils)

Or get a high pressure water/garden spray with a PIR (cant find them on Ebay at the moment)

Clip some carpet gripper to the top of fencing

or if all else fails

There cats. They spend all their day just being sneaky. I'd just give up or get a dog.

yep.. most effective way.. temporary hire a lion and let pee everywhere in your garden.. so cats will think a lion lives there ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
