Three-phase accredited cable connector wanted
« on: 28 April 2011, 17:13:44 »

I need someone who is a Lloyds accredited three-phase cable connector to supply a service to roadside commercial premises. Electricity supplier (Eastern) quote 12 weeks. Since the business cannot run wthout three-phase, it is a very unwanted delay.  :(

Does anyone know of a company that could do this work in the Herts area? :-?

Why does it have to be 3 phase? If it's for a relatively light load hiring a generator might make sense. Even an inverter off a single phase supply if it's only to run a motor?

Pizza oven, Kevin. Runs on three-phase only.  ;)

OK. Guessing it's a fairly heavy load, then? Wouldn't absolutely rely on 3 phase in the same way that a motor does, though. Is there not a way to wire it to run off single phase?

If it has to be 3 phase, a trailer mounted generator could probably do the job. Guessing it can't be more than 30 or 40 KVA?

Yes, Kevin, it's a Sveba-Dahlen (top of the range when it comes to pizza ovens) - which can only run on three-phase and would been top be on for 10-12 hours each day, so I think that rules out a generator.  :(
