I'm guessing many bikers wouldn't see the appeal of a trike?
I've never really been in to the idea of a trike myself either, but after a weekend of American Chopper and god knows how many litres of homebrew cider it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Any reason for going with that power train in particular? Guessing something pre-August 1995 is important at SVA? Or is emissions not such a PITA for a trike?
The power train was chosen because the doner car was free, and emissions aren't a problem.
On the road in time for the tail-end of the summer perhaps?
I've been saving my steroids up so I can use them at weekends for just such an event as this, so if all goes to plan then there is no reason it shouldn't be out there this summer.
How much does it weigh?.....power to weight ratio should be pretty good I think....

Good question.
We haven't got a final weight yet, but it's going to be under the 450KG so it remains in trike class for crap like road tax, etc.
However if we assume 400KG and we assume the 2.0 makes 120BHP (I don't know what it makes), that should give me around 350BHP per tonne or thereabouts (which is acceptable enough for now

)
Talking of steering lock... do you have to dismount to get full turn?
No Chris, although my (short) arms are outsretched pretty much to the limit for a full lock. Nothng major mind, just a slight inconvenience when reversing possibly.
