Bin con

Council website said all collections due today will go ahead. :y
They have just been round....like madmen >:(
Recycling, what recycling........everything went in the lorry, glass, plastic, grass cuttings and general waste.
But they want to fine you if you do not recycle!!!!!! >:(

Bloke who grabbed our grey bin, dragged it down the road, and on the way back, sent next doors patio pot flying and left it in the road, bounced the bin off his car, then dumped the bin on our lawn. Not sure if the car is damaged >:(

:o Perhaps they`ve been offered a 'flat fee' for doing an overtime round (no matter how quickly it can be done)! :o

Amber Valley's web site says two completely different things;- Week 25 April – 29 April – all collections will be one day late.

Please note that refuse and recycling collections will operate on Friday 29 April.

So i put the bin out & they didn't turn up, but if i hadn't they would've ::)

they did that with us over xmas/new year - just put anything out - "we'll take what's there and worry about recycling later"  seemed to be the tactics  ;)

They had street party planned here, and it looked like being scuppered by the bin men..but they came early, chucked anything going in the lorry and buggered off. :y
Have to say...although I do not represent 'Royal Wedding' lovers....the gathering up our street was absolutely fantastic, and we had a fabulous afternoon. Meeting people new to the area, listening to old fogies like me who were born here, was an honour!!!!!!!!!! :y
