Front springs & shocks
« on: 01 May 2011, 21:04:47 »

Well as I have replaced rear shocks/springs front wishbones/droplinks/steering idler I thought that I may aswell do the the front springs/shocks as the front seems a bit bouncy !!!
shocks are ok at £100/pair but gm wanted £235 for a pair of springs >:( thats with gm discount
what is the best non gm brand to get????????
there are some on e-bay for around 35 - 40 quid per side :)

Better response to be had in gen help.

But tc card will give a discount. Not sure but about £100 a side iirc. Site is down so can't check for you.

If your after standard ride and it's not an mv6 then kyb should do the job no problem.

I took a note of the prices back in September 2010:

Per set:
2.2 16v exc. lowered sports chassis, exc. increased payload, from '00
90540870
£220.00 retail (£264 inc VAT)
£187.00 trade (224.40 inc VAT)
£133.11 trade club (159.73 inc VAT)

Judging by the current trade price you mentioned, it looks as if they may have gone up by around a tenner since then.
