Galaxy S II
« on: 03 May 2011, 15:40:08 »

Further to my recent post regarding which phone to go for:  Iphone, HTC Desire HD or Samsung, the o2 shop has suggested that I hold out for the Galaxy S II, supposedly the fastest phone now available and on par with the forthcoming Iphone 5...As part of our company contract any of them would cost me personally £100...

Any thoughts chaps ?

Does what it says on the tin  :y

Unless you REALY want the new one, get the S and save 100 quid  ;)

No problems with GPS or any of it  :y

That implies its trying to emulate an iPhone. If people want an iPhone, they should buy an iPhone. If they don't want an iPhone, then buy what they want.  What they shouldn't do is buy something trying to emulate something else...

...IMHO

The Iphone is the most popular phone in the world at the moment, the idea behind it is what most people seem to want, although it's getting out dated rapidly.

There are limits on how "techy" phones can get so it's only natural that phones are starting to emulate each other...too closely on occasions hense they take each other to court from time to time.

I've thought very hard about getting an Iphone but with the 5 coming out later in the year I just don't fancy the 4...don't know why...just don't....although I'm not a great fan of Apple I suppose.

The Galaxy S II just seems to be the one to go for by all accounts.

At no point have you stated your needs, therefore the opinions of anybody else, here or in store, are invalid.

Good luck with making your choice though :y

he he he he...Needs ?     Basically JUST to make phone calls to be honest....BUT I love gadgets...the more the better...as long as they're simple.

I keep reminding myself how much "touch screen" phones get on my nerves....yet always seem drawn to them.....PLUS I like to get one over on the teenagers of the household, two of whom think the Gooseberry is the ultimate..

ALWAYS read other OOfers opinions..invaluble on occasions....and not just regarding Omegas.
Especially regarding modern phones where I have little experiance......teenagers at home are rather bias.

Also the company picks up most of the bill and the phones mine at the end of the day so might as well get the best bang for my bucks !
