Just Googled "immunosupressants and cancer" and it doesn't make for good reading at all, maybe I'll be better off hunting down the local dealer and having some amphetamines instead on the days I need the energy boost  ;D

Anyway, I'm off to Frimley now to see the Lt Col and get the list of what I won't be allowed to do after the op  :(

Didn't get to see the Technician, got to see his 2 IC instead (a very nice lady called Debbie with a briliiantly sick sense of humour  :) ).

Turns out I will end up with a stoma (that's still better than being dead though), and by all accounts they will have me up and out of bed within hours of the operation (I'll be the judge of that one  :) ).

Overall it's looking good, and that's all that matters right now.

It's not often you get patients happy with having a stoma, but then considering the alternative I can completely understand.  Day 3 of the steroids and I still feel like shi.......
