What a shame as horses and ponies used to be regularly transported on trains. Sign of the times - no box van, H and S rules etc etc.

Back in the seventies , I worked in the very centre of  Leicester and a work colleague got as phone call from personel asking him if he had parked his horse on the 2nd floor below basement level? Yes he said. Sorry , no horses allowed. He had ridden it from Twycross to Leicester. He had to go home early.

Later I found out that he was estranged from his wife and lived in a caravan in a layby on the A444. Mail he had posted to work. He travelled to work every day with a Montego estate loaded to the gunwhales with Gymkana stuff.(He was a key event organiser) He was an eccentric but a decent bloke and good at his job. No place for his sort nowadays in society!!! (sadly) :'( :'(

Depending on time of travel I'd rather take my chances with an equine than some Humans.

And motorbikes are no problem if pre booked I believe. Used to be anyway.

Why.. If you've got a perfectly serviceable motorcycle... or donkey, for that matter, would you be trying to travel by train? :-/

You are frequenting the wrong ale house if you are getting bad pints. Spare a thought for those getting "lager" and wishing they could get a "bad pint" ;D ;D
