Call to ban mobiles & WiFi in schools

Ban mobile phones and wireless networks in schools, say European leaders.

Mobiles are banned on my school anyway, but a ban on WiFi would have a major impact.

Should WiFi be banned in schools? I have no knowledge of miocrowave radiation myself, so I am open to scientific persuasion. ;)

Phones were banned in my kids school. It was as effective as the 70mph limit on motorways & the use of phones behind the wheel.  ;) ;) ;)
You're never going to separate a kid from his/her phone.  :y

Wifi is almost everywhere and in most homes and as Andy said, you can't separate a teenager from their mobile, these days, sadly.......so how is such a rule going to protect children...?? except perhaps from banning children in McDonalds.... :D :D

I say every kid should have continuous mobile phone and wi-fi access - i for one would be interested to know if it is harmful, so its a great big free experiment - everyones happy :y

Tin-foil hats for all. ;D

I would have thought it was a sensible idea, personally, but not because sinister, invisible "radiation" is slowly cooking our offspring but because I can't imagine any learning having taken place had mobile phones been invented back when I was at school. ;D
