Where did you get your traps from? Done some research and see they have to be of a certain size to protect other wildlife.

Assume you catch them in a canal too, not a river?

They eat anything apparently, just bits of peperoni in a cage did the trick it think.

Only thing would trouble me is how do you knock them out? Remember Griff attempted to take it out behind the head, but it was hard work, and the others got spooked.

Assume best way is into boiling water?  :-/  :-[

Thames is not far away from me, guess it can be done there? Does not have to be a canal?

Did the paperwork cost anything?

The most humane way to deal with them is to drop them in the deep freezer for twenty minutes, this stupifies them then straight into boiling water.

Thanks Tony, seen several references to that. Think I would go that route if I ever did go into catching them  :y

Well, they were delicious!  Quite sweet and very tender.  Got some more pots off ebay on their way, cant wait  :P
