Listening to this sort of music gave me an insight to who I was at the time and the potential path I would have to traverse to make my mark on the world of adulthood and responsibility.

The first gig I went to was to see Rory - January 74. It was filmed (along with the other concerts on the tour ) for the film "Irish tour 1974". So Im somwhere in the audience. Rory was a great hero of mine during my school days, and it was the highlight of my Christmas holiday every year to go down to the Ulster hall in Belfast and see him play live. Happy days.

Sadly that very famous battered old Strat has sat in a bank vault for most of the last 17 years since his early demise. :'(

We had some unknown crew called the Average White Band booked in for our school final year piss-up.  Then they suddenly became famous and cancelled out on us  >:(

I think the odd pint was consumed nevertheless.
