xbox360....
« on: 28 May 2011, 22:21:18 »

Hi all,

Trying to get my 360 to "see" my external HDD. Both are formatted to FAT32, I've put some mp3's and AVI's on one and left the other blank - absolutely nothing.

Spent all evening trying to suss it out, trawled through forums on the net, still can't figure it out.

Any ideas please?

TIA  :y

Is the drive self powered or does it have it's own PSU?
Have you tried a different USB port?

download easeus partition manager and reformat the hard drive and make sure you format it PRIMARY. whether its fat32 or ntfs shouldnt make a difference. the xbox wont recognize it if its not a primary drive

Cheers all.

Just before I called it a night last night, I found the answer, as mentioned above. I had formatted the drive as alogical drive and NOT a primary, duh!!

Just transferring movies & music across at the moment, so hopefully all should be good  :)

Thanks again  :y
