A massive thanks to a few members
« on: 30 May 2011, 22:05:25 »

I have to say a massive thank you to TB, Chrisgixer and Kevin Wood for giving up their time this weekend and helping pretty much fitting my LPG along with a full service, cam belt and water pump change  :o

It is much appreciated guys... As an addition, it has been (yet another) very enjoyable, but very busy, weekend :y :y

One very big, heartfelt thank you from me :y :y

Oh... And, of course, to Mrs TB for putting up with 3 blokes fuelled on an abnormal quantity of Curry :o :o :D :D

We all where by the end of the weekend, although something's not right with mine  ;);D

I must say it all went very well, surprised me tbh. Full service including Cam belt and LPG installed in what...2days? Calibrated and all iirc? Add in severe motivation problems on Sunday morning after a heavy night before I thought we all did bloody well tbh. Jubilee clips aside of course.  :-X

I'd like to see some pics of the tank install, presumably its in the wheel well but how much has the boot floor had to rise?.
This is where I am having a problem about doing mine as I do not want to lose any load area :'(

I've not done the floor raise yet but it'll be about 80mm (I think) to get a 76L tank in... You could, of course, just go for a smaller tank though ;) My biggest requirement for the tank was range

Some of that gas had a pretty effective stenching agent added, it has to be said. :-X

Happy to help and good to see you all as always. Sorry I couldn't make Sunday but was glad to see it running on LPG today.

Oh and I should actually say, thankyou for the curry,  :y  and to TB for wiring into my loom etc.

Very busy weekend, hard work, I'm absolutely knackered, but thoroughly enjoyable.

My LPG install has been underway for the last week when time allows. And part of that install involves tapping into engine signals for the LPG ecu to operate. This is best done just short of the loom plug to engine ecu In the engine bay fuse box. It involves a miriad of wires being separated from the correct ones needed and soldering on.
