American Chopper + Homebrew Cider = some very interesting creations.
Once again many thanks goes to the British Army for providing some of the parts required for the project.

For those interested, it started life as an XJ900S Diversion.
Any electronic crap that wasn't really needed was done away with, as was the EGR system. The airbox was removed to make way for a set of K&N filters, and the standard exhaust was also dispensed with to make way for a full on race pipe.
The hardtail conversion was achieved with the help of a spirit level, and a sober missus to confirm it was level before the swingarm was welded in to place.

Not sure about the colour myself but it's your taste not mine that matters and what's with the white lens at the rear?

Not overly keen on green myself, but the frame & tank were thrown in with another job the powder coater had going at the same time (which meant the powder coating was cheap)

The light was already sitting in my garage, no point in it going to waste.

It had suspension originally (monoshock), that got sold along with all the plastics, clocks, etc.

Thank you  :)

It was built from scratch.

They were indeed, I had forgotten the rules on bikes being registered after 1983 (or thereabouts) having to have them by law.
They only take 10W bulbs, so I also had to make a loading resistor to bring the flash rate back in to line.

Believe it or not, it's not that bad at all.

She has her own ride (750 Four which is also hardtailed)

Suspension removal - seems a very strange idea.

Suspension removal - seems a very strange idea.

on a lot of bikes its done for looks as it makes the bike look cleaner[but there are execptions] it is uselly compensated for by having a wide back tyre to soak up the bumps.you can also make it look like a hardtail by hiding a monoshock in the construction or if you have loads of cash you can even run a airbag.
of course this trend came from the usa where they dont go round corners and bikers are 25 stone with there own built in suspension.

A white lens is quite common these days, as long as the light shows as red then there is no issue. A red reflector is the only other legal requirement.  :y
