a video of crumple zones doing their job? surprising how tough the little smarts are - they look like tin too  :o

a bigger concern is chelsea tractors with agriculturally designed steel beams acting like battering rams at head height to anyone in a car - old rangies and landies, not the soft roaders you see nowadays  :o

do they ever show you what happens with bike vs s-class, cos bikers always say they'll get thrown clear to safety in the event....i'd like to see the ragdoll physics of it....just for fun you understand  ;)

Only a biker truly understands why a dog sticks it's head out of the window of a moving car.

I reckon I'd fare better in my Westfield. ;D

The Smart may have held together but after being punted up the road like that it's a sure thing the driver's internal organs would have been rearranged. :o

Needs some crumple zones but it's hard when your knees are up against the back of the number plate. ;D

I've seen a Smart after a high speed, head on colision and to give credit where it's due the driver walked away with cuts and bruises :o Very dazed though  ::)

The "safety cell" does do it's job as all the other panels were crumpled against it and you'd never have recognised it as a Smart  ::)
