Hmm. I saw that a while ago and something involving a Bargepole sprang to mind. ;D

But you won’t be able to see the car or drive it before you buy. Tesco’s showroom is online only, at www.tescocars.com

And haggling is strictly out. The price you see is the price you pay....

Doesn't sound too promising so far, unless they are seriously cheap.

Tesco is promising the cars will be one-owner cars with full service history. All will be between six months and three years old and come with a clean bill of health from the RAC and HPI, along with a one-month RAC Platinum warranty. There’s a seven-day no quibble money-back guarantee if you are not happy.

Yeah, right. None of that makes me feel any better, TBH. ;D

TBH, sounds like they're trying to appeal to people who buy all their meat and veg. there. ;D

I.E. Lazy tinkers who can't be bothered to do their homework and find a quality product elsewhere and are willing to settle for whatever they're spoonfed as they pass along the path of least resistance.  ;)

It might well be very successful these days. ;D

..................so they do new cars, used cars and tyres..................http://www.tesco-tyres.com/

So you'll be able to put your Avons and Yokohamas in your trolley then............ ::) ::)
I see that they do it 'in association with Blackcircles.com'  :-?

Not especially competitive when I put my size in  and no Conti's

Jury's out as far as I'm concerned

Ex lease? MMMM Ex rental more like. I know some or the smart repair places they go to before Mr. family man thinks he's buying a lovely one owner vehicle. I'd never buy a car on spec without seeing/driving it & they'll have nothing that i'd want anyway,

That said i bet they make it work selling anything from C1's/Aygos through to the yukky people carriers undercutting carcraft etc. & folk who don't LOVE thier cars as we do could well benefit if all they want is a mainstream blandmobile.

I wonder which shelf the reducued items that have been around to long will be with a yelloow sticker? ::)

i've had a look on the website....somethings a bit off....cant quite put my finger on it, but all the photos i looked at were either stock photos from ad agencies or exactly the same car taken at exactly the same angles used to describe a variety of motors (i looked for Volvo S80s and VX Vectras - see what i mean?.....but god help any independent trader trying to compete with Tescos when it gets going  :(

I have had a look on the site and given some models available in large numbers there are a lot of ex mobility cars.... I particularly looked at Citroen C4 Grand Picasso, never a company or hire car, I had one and loved it and am fully aware of current prices.. :)
Given that you can return the car if it not up to standard, and if you know what you want, the prices are very competitive, I would consider using them...... :)

I understand what you mean, and I like my old fords and currently bidding on a Mini, but I did love my Citroen, however boring others may think it was.... :y

That basically describes my two year old Seat Altea that I had previously :y

i.e. 1 owner, full main dealer history, technically capable of passing an MoT...

...oh and 135,000 miles. ;D
