Anyone see better value elsewhere?
I'd check what it's like in real life first, some of those "bargains" are cheap in construction as well as price.

ISTR the red ones are pretty flimsy now (they were once well constructed, a friend has a bunch of them) - the black ones, however, are very well made. Good when they have an offer on, but expensive when they don't.

They're also 30% off now, but it was a better deal when it was 'buy the bottom one, get the top one free'

The Sealey "American Pro" Range is OK... Nothing to shout about though ;)

Unless it has changed dramatically in the last 10 years (since I bought mine) :-/ :-/

I bought it as a kit through Sealey and got loads of (average quality) tools which I supplemented with Snap-On/Mac/A N Other Brand as and when, paying on the drip :y :y

Almost everything I bought from the chap who came to us was when there was a deal on ;) He was very fair actually and used to tell us if we wanted something that was coming onto a deal soon :y

With Halfrods, isn't the red drawer stuff the really cheap stuff, black drawers are more durable, then the fully balck ones are their top notch?

I'm off to Costco at some point this weekend, GayBoy, I can see what they have?

Certainly have a look if you don't mind and have time. But needs to be no smaller than the Halfords one above, which means spending a bit of dosh.

Black is more expensive Halfords range, so presume more durable as mentioned, but then how durable does it need to be for home use? It will be by the garage door where I'm working(rather than at the back of the garage like the current one) so may not need to wheel it around. Certainly my current American pro doesn't move but that's because the wheels are crap.
