And it's got an led torch built in btw .... Oh yes!  ;D

My £90 Bosch cordless drill has one of those, too.. neener neener neeeener :P ;D
Ah too late then...? You mentioned the hitachi circular saw for £300... Well I received an e mail from ITS with the drill with the same batteries x2 for £80 on offer for a week from the 9th of June....could then just get the circular saw body for £124(did I see?)  :-/

There are several tools that fit the same batteries...

Nah I've had the Bosch (it's only a little 14v NiCad body) for a while - bought it when my Black & Decker charger (which was 10+ years old) caught fire when I plugged the battery in ;D

Got a link to that special offer? Because I could still be tempted to get a 'decent' 18V setup :)

You've failed me!  >:( ;D

But yup I might give them a call - and you answered a question for me, which was going to be "clip on or slide on" (battery! Dirty minded people..) - I think the 'clip on' is the 'outgoing' model, hence the discount?

I'm almost tempted by this in the clearance range: http://www.itslondon.co.uk/pd_HITKTL518C_KTL518C_Hitachi18vLiion5PiecePackCliponRange.htm

Yep, swap the driver for the wrench and all I'd need is the jig saw body. Seen extra battery for £60 if needed.

Am I missing something though, why is the impact driver so popular with the drill as a set?

I think they're actually pretty popular with tradespeople - my plumber swore by his impact driver for basically any time you'd be using an electric screwdriver (noisy, though, when his head was stuck in the airing cupboard with it!)

Tried twice. Failed twice. Not trying again until TBE is fixed, as she doesn't get lifts any more, so we need 2 working cars all the time.

Poor car, you'd think it would be pleased to be owned by an Oof admin. Sure it flinched when TB walked past it, nasty man.  ;D
