500 miles out of a tank

just.........

filled up to the brim in Plymouth yesterday, drove up to the natural home of the Omega (Nottingham) on less than half a tank, and it was showing an average of 34.1mpg

decided not to top the tank off today but to see how far i could get  :o

finally got back to Plymouth





the fuel light is flashing away like mad ;D but was well impressed

Most of this was done with the cruise on on the comp the average speed was 57mph, when the cruise was on it was sat at 3000rpm/75mph
Since changing the dispack, leads and plugs the fuel economy has shot up......

Driving like a grandad all on motorway and A road

I think I hold the record at the moment.. I'd love for someone to beat it!

mind you James was getting nearly 38mpg, that is mindblowing out of a V6......

I thought 34mpg was good

When I filled up, I worked it out at 39.something...

Going to Gatwick last week, I had the magical 500 up....

In France, my 3.0l averages 33mpg at 85mph, so 40mpg should be doable from a 2.5
