Stuck in Cardiff city centre for the night. Where's the best place for honest local ale?  And what is it, please?  :y

There is a number of Ales, Brains, Felin Foel, Tomos watkins.
They are all down to individual tastes, most pubs will serve them as well :y

Settled for a pint of brains smooth at the prem inn. Can't be harrised going out after playing with the new and ongoing one way system and a backup satnav with old maps trying to send memdown no entries!   :D

TBH, despite frequently going to Cardiff up until around 6yrs ago, its all a bit fuzzy...  ...hotels, corporate expenses, over indulgance ;D  :-[

We always stayed in the mid-class hotel near the train station - not the one that let rooms by the hour, the other. Marriot? Nice and close to city centre, always messy....

Actually, it might have been in a curry house near there that a 'top heavy' lass gave me a hell of a slap for what she obviously thought was an inappropriate remark, which entertained my colleagues somewhat  :-[

Much as I was pleasantly surprised, on average, by a recent beer festival. It's difficult for me to get round a basic design fault with beer. It's warm.

...or at least certainly not cold. What qualifies a drink to be cold/warm/hot/room temp i'm not sure.

But it seems to me a pint of anything should be cold!

Strange though that shorts should be fine at room temp. But they are and that's that. Add ice if you wish of course. But generally warm is ok.

Strange. Guiness= cold. lager=cold. Cider= cold. Beer = warm.

Why?

I'm not a wine fan, much as a certain admin would prefer i was. But Red=warm. White=cold.

Why?  :-/

Flavour is ok with Beer. Mostly. But warm beer is just wrong.  :-? IMO.  ;)
