New toy
« on: 27 June 2011, 12:35:14 »

Having had aggro with web outlets that deduct from your credit card and don't ship anything, it was a delight to receive my order from CPC so promptly even if it had a couple of items I didn't want (but had browsed so probably ordered).

A new soldering iron, and my first temperature-controlled one!  I've read the instructions and it can't be used in "air" and must be "looked after by workers during operation".

I do love Chinese manuals so for those with too much time on their hands, here it is:

(Did I say that it can solder electrons? ;D ;D)  Yes.  I got the top model (the one with the diode plug with 5 conjunctions and 180 degrees lead trough).

and I forgot to order any colophony!  DOH!

I'd give that a miss. Sounds painful. ;D

Doubt it'll be that great for welding, but Ok for electron herding. :y
