Nice having good neighbours but..........
« on: 03 July 2011, 15:47:42 »

Just had some Spanish neighbours call. They spotted the mother in law is staying with us and knew she likes rabbit so brought us one (alive in a paper sack).

Rabbit Paella for tea tonight then!

I wish she told them she likes 4x4s  ;D ;D

Yum! I love fresh rabbit.

(suck eggs warning)

A quick wring of the neck to snap it, tie the back legs to a small piece of wood so as they make a triangle.   Slit the throat.  Cut around the back legs and then through the groin and pull the fur off in a one-er all the way to neck and then cut it off.  Remove the guys carefully without damaging the spleen and you're all set.

A neighbour's son was a huge green lean mean fighting machine. They all went to play war one week end & all groups were given a live wabbit. All groups released their rabbit as none could kill & gut it for Saturday night's supper.  ;D ;D ;D

I have a completely different method for preparing mine, Matt:

Step 1) Go to the butchers....... ::)

Unfortunately, you can never find a local butchers when you need one! I've yet to find one in training on Salisbury plain or in the desert of Helmand province!  ;D
