Lavender ............
« on: 04 July 2011, 13:19:04 »

Have got Lavender in the garden. Any hints/advice on thinning it out as it seems to be rapidly expanding sideways.

Thanks

Tie it into little bunches and sell it down the high street...  :) :)

The pikey van owners on here will buy it off you along with any old pegs you have to sell on to others.

Get your neighbours to all park their cars over the the drain covers before you invite them round, though. ;)

I believe you should thin it out before it flowers. Will ask SWMBO later.  :y

Mine is growing nicely this year, which I will take to mean it will survive untold abuse and neglect. ;D

IIRC the green fingered one (my mum) told me to cut it late in the summer so it's got time to recover before winter, and again in spring if required. Can't remember when I actually got round to it but it doesn't appear to have mattered. ;D
