Best case scenario, cyl. head change, with a scrappy head, loads out there

Worst case, engine change - again loads out there for peanuts.

Rover didn't change the design of these Engine's for a many years, meaning in theory you could fit an engine from a much older Rover (EG G reg ;D ) and just bolt on the new ancilliaries....

Of course, I'd never, ever do such a thing ;D ;D

...looks a good one...wouldnt expect it to go too much higher.

Ive just flogged a head for one of these today as well - took it off at the weekend - and it was a beauty  :-/

Thats a quick turnaround on that car and it can be sold on with tax and MOT  :y

Worth the money then - of course I had forgotten that the 8V is the old Metro engine!

Mind you I was disappointed to only get £640 for my old 2.0CD after lots of TLC before sale.
