Mental note to add a few circuit breakers to the next design.. And stop buying Li-Ion batteries from Dell. ;D

It was made in the US and probably clipped a kerb thats why it went up in flames.

at least thats what happens in the movies  :D ;D

Here, I'll give you 2 numbers, and just to pad out my rather lame news article in case you were wondering what would happen if you multiplied them together I'll give you the answer, except I'm a journalist and, therefore, a bit of a breakwit who never checks his work, even after spending a long lunch break in the pub with my MP.... ::)

I bet it was the mysterious extra 8 cells that exploded, not the 560 ones they planned on having.. ;D

Similar article in MCN a couple of weeks ago when an electric motorbike at a race meeting caught fire and took it 8 fire extinguishers to put out with the bike totalled, where a normal bike takes less than 1!!! :D :D
