Just had a great day out to Malaga

Sorry no pictures but just had a great day out on the airport run. Putting aside no air con in temps of up to 39 deg C and the mysterious water leak after half an hour but not thereafter ( coolant transfer pipe seal - who knows).

At the airport I saw my first Mclaren F1 (and the guy roared away for his adoring crowd ) then there was a  LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO that was a rental car £14,000 a week. I have to say it was a lovely looking car grey with brown seats. They even do a Westfield just for Kevin Wood when he comes to Spain on holiday!

then it was off to a large DIY store where there was an Spanish army Hummer with four grumpy soldier types inside with the doors open and the bonnet up. Some machine but they told me to bugger off or equivalent when I went to have a closer look. Maybe their air con wasn't working either.

The best was yet to come. No not the guy reversing over the trolley he had just left behind his car but the two guys who carefully loaded a flat pack wardrobe or something onto a roof rack and then took off without either of them securing it.  It is the heat you know . ;D ;D

When we did the australia trip last December the kids wanted me to go for one of these ...

nice idea .. but totally impracticable ... and I got 2 speeding tickets in a Mitsubishi Outlander... in one of those I'd have not had a licence left !!!

Yes I paid them, (just over £200 :(  ) as my son is out there we may well go back again .. and I'd just hate to be arrested at the aairport for non-payment !!!

Points don't count, and are not recorded against a UK licence. And their points system is totally different to ours anyway.

One interesting, and IMHO a good thing, aspect .. the authorities can declare a "special" period and all points are doubled !!!  so over xmas/new yearALL speeding/drinking had double points ..... talking to the "locals" it certainly made them aware and thinking .....  :)

Take a day trip to Puerto Banus, with mrs Varche one day, all those cars are two a penny down there!!!
pluys the usual benty turbo,s etc etc totally different world mate!! :y

When we went there last year we had to make a second visit so that my lads could film some of the supercars and the boats in the marina :y
