i thought you could get a normal full size range rover sport in 3 doors too but looks like i might be wrong (which would be a total 1st)
this new one is a SUV.

series 1 range rover was 3 doors from launch, i dont think 5 doors came til about 79 80 ish

Whatever you may hear/read, she had no input to any that are offered for retail sale. Thankfully.

She had input to a single one-off, just so JLR could have her name to them, so thick chavs/x-factor generation would be interested in buying one

Considering the "target" ... I can't find any reference anywhere to weight or towing capability ... seems a bit odd .. :(

Assuming it follows the rest of the range it will have a towing capacity circa 3.5 tonne....

Towing capacity and safe towing ability are 2 totally different animals IMHO ...  It might be possible to pull 3.5 tonnes out of a wet field ...but if the car only weighs 1 tonne then towing anything more than 1 tonne at 60 mph on a motorway will be bloody stupid !!!

Laws of physics are not changed by manufacturers "blurb" ... the laws of inertia don't change.... if the towed unit weighs more than the tug .... which is in control under high speed braking ???

Some of the reasons the Omega is such a good towcar are its weight, low drag and low CofG ... when added to self levelling suspension, good power and excellent brakes .. :)

In the past I towed a 2.5 ton boat behind a Range Rover for a friend who was afraid to tow it,after doing it myself I fully understand why he didn't want too, talk about tail wagging the dog :-/ :-X

personally I dont like the current styling fad of trying to make a kind of hybrid by mating the size of an SUV/4x4 with the traditional look of a standard saloon. The proportions seem all wrong to me, they dont "fit" if that makes sense. Quite apart from the whole issue of the point in such cars as theyre neither one thing or the other I just dont like the styling. Must be me getting old  :-/
