i think the idea of a limit of 3 seperat parts threads is a good one.
then, one thread for a car breaking, with prices next to a list of parts, (should stop stupid offers on cheap parts)
another forum i use have rules on listings that seems to work well, theres a format of what should be in the title ie part/car year, location and price. then in the thread a format of what has to be listed ie tax mot miles, which stops a million questions.  and then theres purgatory! obviously a sticky with "read before posting" of the rules, if you fail then ad is moved to purgatory, so if someone starts listing lots of threads rather then one it gets moved.

can you increase the amount of threads in each section? so things dont fall off the page so quick, its not a big problem to click through pages if the info in the title is there.

Yep - I have replied to threads where someone has asked for a part urgently and offered to send it off next morning, they dont even have the courtesy to reply. I just assume they already found one from another source. Not good manners imo. ;)

If Im looking for a part I scroll through pages of ads for the previous month, as parts often dont get sold but the ad is still there, a few pages back.I dont see why that would be a problem for anyone else to do if they need something tbh. :-/
