Vaux parts strike again
« on: 03 August 2011, 19:34:11 »

Went in for pads and coolant this morning. I says I need enough for 10 litres to go in the car, he says we have litre bottles of ready mix. I get home and have 10x1 litre bottles that need diluting i.e enough for 20 litres costing me £28 + vat

When you buy ready mixed, 50% of what you pay is for water. ;) ::)

but ready mixed might have its advantages if you live in a hard water area.  :y

That's not a bad deal. Think it's about 12-13 quid for a 5L bottle of the concentrate, and you'll have some for next time. I think they've charged you for the watered down stuff.

I live in a hard water area so I always boil the water in our kettle first so the limescale is deposited in that.  :y
