Saw the aftermath on the news this morning - looks like it has improved Tottenham quite considerably. :D ;D ;D
We will now have all the bleeding hearts wittering on about social depravation blah,blah,..........
As I understand it - local gangster stopped in his car by police. He shoots police officer, but the bulllet hits his radio which saves his life.Police then shoot him and he dies.
One less piece of pondlife in the world.Cant see the downside tbh.
That pretty much sums it up  :y :y

No doubt there will be a sandal wearing, lentil munching, politically correct tosspot waiting in the wings to represent the family of the wannabe gangster who couldn't understand the concept of what happens if you live life by the sword....and no doubt it will be the taxpayer who foots the bill for the legal fees as well as the compo that these lowlifes will no doubt receive for their "loss"  >:(

I was watching it unfold last night on Sky news and had to switch it off as my blood pressure was going through the roof.
I cannot understand how we have come to the situation where the Police are so unable to react to a riot situation where anarchy clearly reigned.
The Liberal do gooder lawyers who have slowly but steadily castrated the rule of true law and made it impossible for the Police to raise even a baton to prevent what happened should be ashamed .
The Riot Act is still enforceable and should have been used along with water cannon.
As I write this I'm listening to those bleeding heart local contributers blaming everything and everyone else for the reason the poor rioters did what they had to do......
Luv 'em ...........

No doubt in the good old days, they could send in the horses, pull out some trouble makings and give them a good beating as a suggestion not to do it again.

Now with all the camera phones about, Police dare not doing anything as it will be all over the media  :(

seems some of them got their xmas shopping done last night. wouldnt be surprised if this happens somewhere else now knowing that the police had to sit back and watch them to get on with it without steaming in with the batons and arresting the vermin.   >:( >:( >:( >:(

whats worse than the aggrieved rioters themselves, and im not just talking about this incident, is the idiots who use the situation as a catalyst to simply go out and cause havoc, smash stuff up, on the back of the people who went out on peaceful protest (even if you disagree with their reasoning). it was the same with the recent riots in london when that moron charlie gilmour was caught destroying stuff while others wanted to go out and peacefully protest at the uni tuition fees.

its bad enough that it had to happen at all, but the idiots who use it as an excuse to go out and cause untold amounts of damage and destruction (who were undoubtedly absent from the original peaceful protest) should be ashamed of themselves. burning buildings down could result in catastrophic loss of life. shameful behaviour.

i'm not sure why the OP and others are citing the 'black' issue here; it was an investigation into gun crime that led to the shooting.

imagines them back at rioter HQ; "boss, we're not creating as much of an identity for ourselves as we'd hoped, how should we differentiate ourselves from other rioters?"

noise at the back of the room; "umm... i've got an idea... umm... you know that coconut place round the corner...."

and so started the short but prolific career of north londons infamous 'coconut gang'

etc  ;D

They are considered a less lethal weapon and thus need approving by parliment.

Police: dammed if they do (Student riots) dammed if they don't (Tottenham last night). I have no problem with low-lifes destroying their own neighbourhood, but I just hope that no one was trapped in those appartments which were ablaze.

As the state keeps telling us, if you are doing nothing wrong then you have nothing to fear.

If plod abides by the law when enforcing it, then they have no worries. However if they choose to break one law to enforce another, then that simply isn't acceptable as they are no better than the lawbreaker they are nicking at that point.

i am afraid there are water cannons based on the main land BUT because we signed up too this civil rights bill thing (thanks a bunch mrs blair she made a mint out of it!!) we cannot use them as they are a indiscrimnate weapon...now to be hit by a water cannon you have to be infront of it and it as to be aimed at the trouble BUT this stupid bill says it might get an inocent by stander...what rubbish...but i don't care if you are black, white, pink with polka dots IF YOU POINT A GUN AT ARMED PLOD YOU WILL BE SHOT AND KILLED..no questions should be asked of the plod that pulled the trigger either one less piece  of sh1t off the streets  :y

If any unemployed scrounging half wit regardless of colour/creed wants wants to play shooters with our police then he should rightly be shot dead on the spot. no ifs or buts, break him, it was his choice.  Those who protest have misgiuded loyalties & have no right to loot peoples shops (livings), torch folks cars...unforgivable.

They are cowards & hunt in packs as cowards do. They have no place in our society, i bet most of them don't work or contribute but scrounge then fight against the system that keeps them. Well break that. I've gotta get up @ 3;30hrs tomorrow to be in Hertford for 08;00 while these scum are lying in beds & houses that most of us pay for.

That's ok, i'm used to that but next time they kick off anywhere in the UK, Toxteth, Bradrord...anywhere stuff the shields, fricking shoot them, not rubber bullets, live rounds, armed police & the forces who would be better deployed sorting such dregs out than fighting other folks battles abroad.

This would save us a fortune & rid our country of said pondlife. >:(
