Hotel 21..Guffer...?
« on: 09 August 2011, 19:17:30 »

Or anyone else with such a background. Many (not all ) us civvies think the Police should be given more rope to hang these idiots with, rubber bullets, more armed officers etc.

I also like the comments re: sending them to the armed forces to be drilled and run ragged (William Whitelaws 3 month short sharp shock in Haslar Gosport 1980/81 woke me up as a teenager) but would this idea work today? Do the senior officers really want these dregs & would they be more of a hinderance than a help on any frontline? Would they be better doing more menial jobs like doing the doby, boot scrubbing in the hot sun...whilst being beasted & drilled to death/  Maybe a few percent would really benefit from it & be turned into better people?

Sorry to go on a bit but tonight i'm in a thoughtful frame of mind & would like to hear from the horses mouth so to speak. Guy.

Thing is army training is nothing like it used to be and as a result we get some gobby soldiers today in the forces....although it is quickly cured with a little adminstrative action.  Yup you heard me, no marchy marchy up and down the square as punishment anymore and if you want to beast someone you have to do a risk assessment first. No joke.

Not like the old days when you would go to your boss and say 'i f-ed up, I did this'd and he would tell you to close the door and put your hands on your head.  3 kidney punches later the problem was forgotten and we all moved on.  Now its paperwork although we can still take away someone's weekend ;-)

My personal thoughts have always verged on the controvertial so no great reason for that to change.

I stress, its MY opinion, not that of the admin team.  They have their own voices.

Firstly, I would legalise drug use across the board.  Make soft and hardcore grugs readily available free of charge.  If the assorted dope and smackheads want to indulge, let them.  Free kit?  Why not.  Its Darwinian evolution in reverse.  If they are daft enough to get addicted and subsequently die, tuffski shitski.

Reduces street muggings, housebreakings, reset, robbery etc etc etc at a stroke as there is no longer a drug craved need for the next tenner or score bag of crap.

Dealers would become none existant.

OD's would become the norm, reducing the general populace and changing the depth of the communal gene pool such that those with the brains they were born with actually need to use them to stay alive.

Knock on effect is that the need for social services and other namby pamby do gooders would become surplus, given time.

Undertakers would, however, become a growth industry for a short period.

Allow Police to Police according to basic requirements and not hindered by said social services and do gooders who would be too busy holding the hands of the recently bereaved due to free smack.

Want some drugs in jail?  Crack on Bro.  Just ask, its for free.....

Want the number of an undertaker?

Afghan and the grief out there.  Apparently there is a 10 year supply of smack back stored so that even with the best of intentions, if no more were produced it would take that long to run dry.  Why waste 10 years more of good military lives to stop it?  Pull them out and let them sort it themselves.  Its free here.....

All above said, obviously, tongue in cheek.

But there is an element of truth and good thought nestling in there.........  :-[

Understood. I was told my D.C, was like the then 6 weeks inital training as a wet behind the ears squaddie. We were told to sleep to attention!!! Woken up in the night & bunny hopped up & down the corridoors or made to lay at the foot of our beds & lift our ankles 6 inches above the floor. When we were told to let them down if they heard one heel hit the wooden floor we all had to start again. We had gym twice a day starting with kit inspection. If one of us forgot any item or kit was complete but not tidy everyone had to do 100 squats. If one did a sqat wrong the same number would be repeated over & over again so it could take loads to get to a hundred & that was before a mile run, an hours gym circuit followed by another mile run. This was every morning & afternoon with trenching in between. At weekends we had to take all the gear out to the field & do it there, Best/worst gym game was 30 blokes & 29 medicine ball in the middle of the gym, jog round the outside till the whistle blew then bundle for a ball, one bloke out, one ball out...used to get a bit spiteful towards the end!!!

No chance of this for some of these looters today then?

I'm liking the ideas above, looks to be a cost effective solution! Now if we could just sort out the fuel prices and dispose of the Green agenda next then I think that'll be all my moans and groans sorted for this lifetime!  :y :)

Dont agree Im afraid Bruce. It s surrender in the war on drugs and it wouldnt work imo.
Free drugs would presumably be for adults ? 18+. The dealers wouldnt just give up and go away. They already deal to under 18,s and they would deal to little kids through the school fence (free jelly babies with every bag of crack) if they arent already.
Gas the tinkers - thats the answer. ;)

Nope.

I'm in heavily with the Darwin theory - survival of the fittest.

If you are - of any age - daft enough to partake then sink or swim.

Swimmers will have the brains, the rest sink out of view once burned/buried.

As said, controvertial viewpoint.

Make them free to all.  If wee Johnnie at age (select as appropriate) starts to partake, either he has the brains (or parental guidance) to get him straight or he sinks.

Johnnies pals see whats happened to Johnnie and either join him or run a mile.

Its those who run a mile that will be lifes winners.

As said, quite controvertial but as yet, I have yet to see a convincing argument against or alternative solution so as to:-

Reduce crime rates across the board.

Reduce the ever expanding worlds populace.

Increase the general mental understanding of humanity.

Loose the loosers.

and similar, short of another world war.

Interesting, isn't it, that we find ourselves in this state just as we're losing the last generation who fought through a world war?

Something radical needs to change, at any rate, because the status quo is building a pretty toxic society, IMHO. :(

Well, as an ex squaddie myself, i dont think the Army should be put in that position. The Army could not really do anything except stand there and hold people back, not really going to stop the thugs that have readily attacked and injured over 100 police officers.
As for sending them into the army, waste of time. Why give these idiots the chance to join a service that many of us ex or serving soldiers did because we wanted to? Only military thing i say we should let them have is a stint at MCTC. I never actually went and spent time there, however, i did have to take a prisoner there and that was an experience in itself.
Cutting the redtape and giving the police better backup rather than having to do 20 peices of paperwork for a shoplifter pinching a packet of crisps.
These people (and i use that term very loosely) should be made to clean up their mess, payback the people whose livelyhoods they have ruined by cancelling their giro's and other benefits.
Not going to rant on as ill be here all night otherwise haha!
