Due to the massive ethnic population in certain areas I wouldn't be surprised, however, from experience of these ethnic areas (I have lived in several) they tend to 'self police' and stop things before they escalate.

Many of my friends in these areas already have plans to thwart potential idiots from causing uproar.

Having quite an extensive knowledge of the local plod, they better do what they are best at, break all.

The maximum penalty on conviction is ten years' imprisonment and/or a fine of unlimited amount.

Bring in the army to get the job done ...that's if we have any troops left here. We seem to be so good at policing the rest of the world...not very well if we're honest...bring the lads home & let them off the lead, they'll soon sort these so called gangsta pricks out! 8-)

According to reports, serious damage caused in City Centre, but nothing like parts of London.
100 arrested and 34 taken to Hospital.
They interviewed a 17 year old on the radio who stated
" this is the only way people will listen to us young people, we are all angry!"
WTF!!!   :o
Does he live in the real world?
Loads of people will be going into work today and finding nothing left........
I really feel for the Police, they are in the wrong which ever way they deal with this...... :'(

Only one way to stop it...Scrap the Human Rights Act, scrap the Childrens Rights Act and bring back corporal punishment that means real PAIN. Put all the do gooders and those who dreamed up and support those acts before the courts and make them pay for the damage.
The youths that are doing this have never put anything into the system they want everything out of!  ::) Send them all to Afghanistan and use them as the front line. At least then they will do some good by shielding our soldiers from enemy fire and they can then be left to rot there to feed the soil when they will finally have done some good for the world. ;D :y
