148mph looks a lot faster than that! Those white lines are still separated, they should be one blur!

You think that video really shows 220?  :-/

That left entrance/turn at 30 seconds, apparently he is doing 200mph there  :-?  :-/

Not seen vid, as no 3G here.

My point was a blurred White line at 148mph is due to not being used to high speed :)

280 km/h (175 mph) on the speedo of the Blackbird which is following Ghostrider (very well known nutter) who is on a mid stage tuned (499 BHP) Busa, and the white lines are nowhere near blurred.
As TheBoy says, if the white lines are blurred at 148 mph for you then you are not used to speed.

PS

A fully tuned Busa makes 700 BHP at the rear wheel and weighs in at around 200KG, do the power to weight numbers on that one  ;)

The testing is being done on a runway, but the road part is a real public road and 280 clicks is visible on the speedo of the Blackbird.

I can see that video is real, but the earlier one looks fake to me.

Anyone can get on a bike, point it in a straight line, open the throttle and grip on. No real skill in that really.

As for the bikes, bit pointless really. Like to see that been ridden fast around the UKs pot hole rife roads!

You are correct, but what is required is a lack of self preservation or a set of gonads (or a combination of both).

I have experienced 155mph in a car (Jag 3 litre XF), and I have experienced 155mph on a bike (Blackbird). I will admit right now that doing it in the car didn't bother me in the slightest, but doing it on the bike certainly had my brain (and to some degree my sphincter) working overtime.

I can promise you faithfully though, at those speeds the white lines are not a blur.


PS

The Swedish police have confirmed on television that Ghostrider's videos are not fake, they really have clocked him at speeds topping 250mph

I've done 140mph in Germany in a clapped out 300 quid Senny, that was just funny. 140mph on a bike though, bugger me, they need to invent man sized nappies   ;D ;D ;D  :D

I'd feel a lot safer doing it on a bike abroad (France or Germany for instance) as their tarmac is racetrack quality when compared to the crap we have to drive on.

kent plod have just taken delivery of 4 of the BMW's...all unmarked....well they untill you upset mr plod...see one chasing a focus st yesterday on the  M 20...and i got too say it was going very well  :y
