Surely this is better for any car/bike than a plug in gimmick & you save the money? 
I beg to differ. I don't fire up an engine unless I'm going to drive it. It fills the engine and exhaust with water vapour and acid products of combustion but nothing gets hot enough to boil it off again unless you drive it.
Battery conditioners mean you can forget about it for months on end and it'll fire up every time when you fancy a drive.
Point taken, Are they not ok if run up to running temp, choke off, 20 minutes etc? That said probably spend more on cans of petrol but at least they go in & out of gear, get moved back & forth so tyres don't square off, clutch does'nt stick etc?.
I take the Cortina out at least every couple of weeks, usually more although it did go 5 or 6 weeks once but still barked up.
Why lay them up for so long in the first place? Best to keep using them surely?
