... before someone started bleating about human rights:

I bet there's a long line of lawyers at her door as we speak..

I buy the Daily mail every day because the only other paper worth reading (Telegraph) is too bloody expensive.
It amuses me when most of the people on here who constantly slate the Mail (one admin in particular ::)) post up their thoughts regularily, which could very easily have been taken fron an editorial in the Mail. ;)

Yep as a parent the responsibility must be there first. There children did not care about kicking someone from a business that took a lifetime to build. I have two teenage children and i would like to think that during any kind of disturbance i e riots i want to know where they are.

What made it worse was that she also said she wasn't responsible for her son. My daughter is nearly 18 and I still feel responsible.

as most of these people don't work removing them from council housing means they will have to turn to private rented which is usually 60-100% more pricey and as us the tax  payer is footing the bill anyway..are we not cutting off our nose to spite our face

Flip side to evicting families due to the acts of one of their kids is that the council will still have a duty of care to ensure the family are not made homeless. Yes, they do have the option of private renting if its possible however, the council will be the first port of call, probably to a less than desirable area of whatever city they are living in or even to a different part of the uk (within reason but please, no more to Bristol, we got enough as it is lol)

they have a duty to rehouse any children under 16 which would normally be a hostel as the parents are not responsible enough to be given a house and to care for them.
