Thats what I currently have (N8), had an N900 before that.  Camera on the N8 is brilliant, but you would expect it to be for a 12 megapixel :)
Ah, megapixels.  The measurement of ones manhood, nought more. Megapixels do not make good cameras.  For example, my million year old canon camera will take a far better pic than any phone, yet lacks all your megapixel dubries.

N900, isn't that what GayBoy had before going down the iPhone route?  Some (typically Nokia) halfbaked Linux with a great feature list, but unusable in practice?

My old 1mp stills on video camera were much much better than my mukti mega mobile ones

I tend to use the Autogas one, but mostly only covers shell with LPG.

Still, better than nought, and free from their website

N95 i had never had a single problem in the 2 years i was using it. Dropped countless times an d i think the only problem i had was the battery cover clip broke. Moved onto the n86 as soon as it came out, again, intuitive workings (typical nokia really) and again, never had a single problem with.
Both were good for what i needed for, calls, texts, pictures and the occasional video around a track :)
TB, kinda get what you say about mp, however, i have owned my fair share of high end cameras and i gotta be honest, the n8 blitz's them totally. The high def recording is definately a huge plus as well.
At the end of the day, i think its all down to 'each one to their own' :)

Absolutely :y

I use a stupid gayPhone, but only because it nearly meets my precise needs, and is closer to anything else out there.  But I couldn't/won't recommend it to everyone, and very few have my requirements.

As to dropping Nokias, thats always risky - often causes them to switch off randomly.

I hear a lot of people using that excuse for iphones and blackberries. As for the random switching on and off, never once dropped my n8 and it was doing that for a hobby! Now have a nice shiny new one and 'hopefully', its one of the later produced, bug free ones  ;D

You used go say that of the n95 8gb, you where talking rubbish there. True of the n900 though Useless pile of shite apart from the camera.

I have the n900 and I couldn't agree more! Gutted - 18month contract - 6 months left  :-/

Yep, couldn't bare it. 8 months of two contracts. It really is that bad, esp using oof. The number of times it lost a post. A long one usually.

As I was previously a WinMo 6.5 user, going to a crApple 3.12 iPhone, I though multitasking was going to be a bigger issue than it was.  Turned out, I didn't need more than what pre iOS4 offered (ie, could play gayPod when using apps ;D).

But then, after years with WinMo and Nokia, it turned out I just wanted a rather phone that just worked as it claimed to ;D

I had various Symbian S60 phones, not bad could run tomtom and apps and all kinds, way before iPhone.

Where Apple have done well, is they made just one phone. Made it simple, well built & stable.

I used to be a Nokia man, but their quality went down hill fast, they just turn out crap now.

I do rather like Sony Ericsson Experia though, its like a little PSP which is also phone, shame its so heavy  :(

I need a photo bucket app that doesn't close when I go back to the the web to post a link. So that when I go back to photo bucket to copy a second link I don't have to go through the process of finding the second picture, which was directly next to first one ready and waiting. THAT is just rubbish, I basic requirement of a smart phone...

...well, second in line to the device actually working as advertised that is.  ;D

The Experias I've seen seem to wear quickly, with the keyboard mechanism allowing the keyboard to become loose. IIRC, they are made by HTC, so that would explain it.
