Local politics to me
« on: 09 September 2011, 23:52:19 »

Rather interesting - very close vote at last election.

Ours is one of the seats which is close between Lab & Con, basically you vote against the other.

So the right of centre people would not risk voting say UKIP and the left of centre Green or similar.

Lab are looking for  anew person so they have decided that women are so useless they need a hand up to be an MP, so have banned men from applying.

All in local paper and web site.

Can someone tell the idiots that if a woman is capable she will get there.

I am afraid I have to use the Margaret Thatcher argument on this as I think x person only short lists is very insulting.

Total hypocrisy, IMHO. The lefties are always keen to bang on about vacancies being avilable to all, irrespective of gender, race, age, religion, sexual orientation and so on, yet have the nerve to ban men from applying.

They see the electorate as idiots.  >:( ::) ::) ::)

Scary here.

Last election there was only just over 2000 between the parties, son of a previous MP with local ties vs a Blair lapdog - who campaigned for the closure of local post offices.
