You can make one if your ok with a welder from an old gas cylinder.

Im going to be fitting two here next month, one in an existing open fireplace, which i will use a liner for, and one installed in the lounge (being an extension its the only bloomin room without a fireplace) just going to have a multifuel stove with flue going up and through the wall. ive got a huuuuge amount of wood from a 60ft row of massive trees we had cut down thats seasoned for about 2 years now.
last couple of winters ive kept a coal fire going but most the heat just gets lost up the chimney. cant wait to get them fitted, as i have a gift of running out of heating oil at the worse times and having to wait weeks lol  :y

We had one fitted last September. We found that to get the council to sign it off (in our area) we had to have it commissioned by a registered company, who wanted so much to do so that it was cheaper to have it fitted professionally.

The advice we were given was to get a decent, quality stove as some of the cheap ones have been known to warp/crack under heat
