Im going to be fitting two here next month, one in an existing open fireplace, which i will use a liner for, and one installed in the lounge (being an extension its the only bloomin room without a fireplace) just going to have a multifuel stove with flue going up and through the wall. ive got a huuuuge amount of wood from a 60ft row of massive trees we had cut down thats seasoned for about 2 years now.
last couple of winters ive kept a coal fire going but most the heat just gets lost up the chimney. cant wait to get them fitted, as i have a gift of running out of heating oil at the worse times and having to wait weeks lol

We had one fitted last September. We found that to get the council to sign it off (in our area) we had to have it commissioned by a registered company, who wanted so much to do so that it was cheaper to have it fitted professionally.

The advice we were given was to get a decent, quality stove as some of the cheap ones have been known to warp/crack under heat
