Abuse for letting pedestrians cross
« on: 17 September 2011, 13:46:24 »

Had a nasty on the way home earlier, stopped to let a pram cross with mum.

Car behind horns blowing, and abusive gestures.

I followed them and blew horn at them - they stopped, I wound down and asked them why shouldn't I let a mum cross the road and got shouting back, so I said eff off and drove off.

Bloody Chavs >:( >:( >:( >:(

These are the kind of occasions where I'd pull away as slowly as possible, then drive along at around 27/28 mph for as long as I can get away with it and stop to allow as many people out of side roads, cross the road etc as possible.  ::) ::)

Well done Martin.

Never lower your standards to that of the scumbags that hurled abuse at you.

Ignore them and go about you lawful business knowing that you are always a more mature and considerate driver than them.

there are some to55ers on the road today!
on the m3 earlier i was happily plodding along about 80-85 in lane 3, over taking but leaving the right gap between me and the car infront, infront that was just more cars, yet the merc behind was all over my bumper flashing lights cus he wanted to get in that gap! fool lol
i just slowed down to 70 and every time he flashed i flashed my rear fogs. there was enough traffic that i could sit at 65-70 and still be over taking all the way to my junction, i changed lanes in total slow motion so by the lights he was very mad, i jumped out to ask if he was ok  ::)  and he just sat starring at the dash wouldnt say a word or even make eye contact!

In my younger days i'd have belted him...you showed restraint in not doing so, i doubt i would now as age mellows.

I'd have kept him behind me til we hit a red light. On turning green i'd stay still then shoot out at the last second leaving the pillock stranded.

If he gave you abuse for letting a young mum cross in front of you he's probably a mouth breather who married his sister!!! ::)

I had similar a few days ago....a young chav in a saxo thought he would accelerate a fast as possible so that he could blow his horn at me....coz i had pulled out in front of him, where there was enough of a gap in traffic to safely do so....not content with just a 2 sec blast of the horn....he must have blown his horn at me for 20 secs or so.......so i thought i can be just as childish as you....next roundabout with him behind me.....i sat there for about a min....watching all the big gaps where i could of gone......he blew his horn again.....so i sat there even more......then i moved and proceeded to drive around the one way system where he couldnt overtake at 20mph  ::) ;D

Woman driver - but I did drive after them about 50 feet to have a word with them.

The selfish gits I see regularly.

Crossing roads is not that easy I try to let people cross as I would wish the same in return.

I might drive fast but I do try to be courtious
