Project SOLO engine change......
« on: 09 June 2007, 21:05:42 »

Well, I got back from Warwick university at 4pm and decided to do a little work on the car.

So, gearbox off and engine out. Then stripped the engine for anything useful.

Engine ready to lift

Gearbox off, everything disconnected and both engine mountings undone

Hoist attached WRONGLY. Don't use chain, you don't get enough hieght without hitting bonnet.

As you can see

Having repositioned webbing, me now wincvhing carefully

Nearly there

And out

Getting engine out was a piece of cake. really. getting it back in should be fairly easy, but obviously needs a little more precision. Getting the gearbox back on will need the usual volunteer I suspect.... erm dave?
