@ Chopsdad ...... :(

Being VERY rude, and sort of dumping on you ...  but in view of the above comments about "lack of confirmation" , is it possible for you, as "point of contact" to find out who she has recieved/accepted bookings from ???

It's a hell of a trog for us to get there and find we are not expected !!, and others may be in the same position... :(

My thoughts are, a single, known, person making contact is less hassle than all of us trying to do so ??

If you are not happy doing this please just say so, and I'll contact - or try to !!- directly ..

Regards

Nige

As far as I am aware Chopsdad has sorted out with the owner a field purely for us OOF'ers.
He did a brilliant job last year and sure he will do so this year too.
People who need electric hook ups only need to book up :y

I agree. Obviously I'm a lot closer, but it would be nice to know whether I'll have EHU & if she's got my cheque and if so, is she going to cash it. I did try this morning to phone, but got the answering m/c.

To repeat my earlier (page 11) comment .....

"Linda at the Farm has confirmed I am booked in, but not requested a deposit!    She has stated I should just pay when I am there ."

This has been repeated by Linda along with a price per night, with electric, that she states I should pay for when I arrive. She also confirmed I have just been added to the oof group booking. :y

I hope this settles your mind Entwood.

Being new and all that what is the format of these meets? obviously they are over a weekend but what sort of activities take place?
You are free to do as you please - some people may go out sightseeing for the day, and join up with the OOFers in the evening, when we tend to sit around a BBQ, chat, drink, talk rubbish, drink, talk, drink, and have a drink.

During the day, there will undoubtedly be some spanner twiddling going on, and a chance to look over other Omegas etc.  Last year, we also did the England v Scotland footie match, which was a bloody good laugh.  I hope there is a rematch.  Possibly some other games, eg rounders etc, that the young ones can join in?
