I think for a change next year we should arrange a trip out with all the omega's for a few hours and have a convoy, maybe invade a venue in Wales, avoiding the single track roads ::)

spot on, good event, different models, styles, mods, the lot, thanks. next time will load the boot with cheese. maybe do the whole weekend. thanks to everyone who was there, for putting up with me. mr wood, its all working spot on, getting home was a lot easier than arriving. lager, vodka, lager, whiskey, lager, not the ideal combination. but it did it for me. oh and bob that cup of tea in the morning, helped no end! sounds like a plan to me, mike know some nice ones,
cheers

Hmm. Wonder if my Icom ic-e208 can be opened up to cover 446?  ::) :-X

Range might be a bit limited with only 50 watts.  ;D

Kevin

P.S. Glad to hear the upgrade is working OK. :y

50 watts???  limited range??? please stay at least a mile away from me! (rather an unfortunate name, for a good radio, the i-comic e208). aint sure how good the front end of these radios are! but it may be an idea to keep the gathering errr, gathered. used to use the cb with mates worked well. the upgrade was taken a weight off my foot.
cheers

On a serious note, have used 446 radios car-to-car when out with the kit car guys. Works nicely through an autocom headset.

They are only good for about 1m normally, probably 1.5m at absolute best.  Got a bucketload of them here that we use for various events.

The better 446 radios can be "improved" as well. :-X

Yeah, we were right behind you .......
Got to our beloved Gower in two hours dead from Newent, towing the caravan at a steady 55-60 mph. Had a brilliant week there too - back home to reality today!
