I done just under 300 miles trip yesterday   but was worth it to come down and see you all 
 

I am glad you made the trip Serek, as I enjoyed meeting you mate. If you ar at anytime up this way your more than welcome to call for a brew.

I have also booked up the Site for next year which again will be the first weekend of Septemher 2011.
 

Can't you do it the weekend before? I can't get out of work that weekend

Sorry but 1st weekend of September it is.
 

Oh well, means I can't come then as I can't take the time off in September. Same with the lakes being in June means I can't get the time off.

Good to get some jobs done, and nice to do a few unscheduled fixes too

Fixed her door checkstrap I thought was beyond repair, entwoods trackrods etc.

Newent has really turned into THE OOF event of the year, 4 on the trot and next years booked

Thanks to Dad1UK for the use of his BBQ and Bob Dent for the replacement gas bottle (followed by my Mrs with another one just in case!!!)

Thanks to everyone who tidied up (I feel guilty for not being vaguely alive / human this morning and poking my head round the hedge to find everyone else had cleared up  )

And thanks to everyone else, as I have no doubt I will forgot a few!

In true VXL style we managed to break something on the cars on the return - Front N/S bearing is noisy on the 3.2 and the DTi has a nice crack in the windscreen!!!!

Oh yes, the firewater, Micks and H21, both very different brews and both very moreish, and later noticed my legs starting to disobay me, most amusing, as I felt I was handling it well otherwise. I started to develop a bit of a giggle walk......

A fantastic meet again, they just keep getting better.
Also as already said, many many thanks to those who cleared up in the morning, I was a little late in rising and I'm blaming Dundee for plying me with 65% falling over water! I came over to assist with some clearing up and washing up but it had already been done. Good to see plenty of old faces again and a few new ones.
Had the apprentice OOF BBQ chef with me this year so well done to Greg for giving me some time off.

A big belated thanks to all who organised, fed, watered and transported gear for us this year. I'm aware we sponged a bit due to the limited provisions we could bring this year.   

Was good to meet all the friends old and new.

I am sitting in a hotel near Aviemore - watching the rain. Decided to give the driving a miss today.

The Westfield did the 330 miles from Newent to Motherwell on Sunday with no problems at all. Weather was kind to us too after the initial showers at Newent. Arrived about 7 pm just in time to prop up the bar.

Monday saw 250 odd miles up to Aviemore, most of which was pretty hard blatting, culminating in an awesome stretch over the Cairngorms. Again, car didn't miss a beat.

Tomorrow we're taking a suitable scenic route up to Brora where we'll be staying for a couple of nights.
