Irmscher steering wheel
« on: 31 July 2009, 15:58:19 »

I was having a look through ebay.de and found some of the Irmscher steering wheels. The one's that are half leather and half wood, aluminium effect or carbon fibre. I don't really like them that much...only the wood one's. But thought someone might be interested. And they seem cheap to me.

Was in a bit of a mess though...how would you repair that wood effect if that was the style you were looking for .?

I was going to add a wood effect steering wheel to my first post, but it was 239 euro's. Thought it was too expensive. If anyone wants the link I'll post it up. However it looks to be for an early prefacelift. I don't think you could repair that worn one very easily. Unless you could find some wood effect vinyl or something to stick over the existing part of the wheel. Not sure how else it could be done.

Simple , paint it.......
I do wood grain finishes as a service in our business .
Burr, mahogany , birds eye maple , Oak,flame mahogany down to simple pine etc etc.
Did a special effects course years ago and have developed it from there.
It was crying out for repair.
Ho hum..... :'(
