Anyone kind enough to allow use of TC?
« on: 10 August 2009, 20:08:43 »

On TheBoy's advice I'm hoping there is someone local who would be able to get some things from VX for me using their TC. If there is, let me know and I'll get a list together.

Thanks  :y

It'll only cost you £20 a year from Autobahnstormers for your very  own Trade Club card ...... £20 will be saved on 4 for 3 on semi-skimmed oil promotion!  ;)  ;)  ;)

Lee, that would be most helpful, only thing is I can't get anywhere to collect as it's not a good idea to be taking the car down the M27  :D

Andy, that I will do at some point, however I need to get these gaskets done this week as I have a week off so can't wait for my TC to come through.

One other question which has just occurred to me. How on earth do I remove the oil in the plug wells after the gaskets have been done?

As far as i can remember the last time i got cam cover gaskets ect they were'nt on tc so it might be an idea to get a price from dealers anyway.

Rocker gaskets: 90511451 (one for each bank)
O-rings: 90411826 x 16
Gasket, Inlet bridge to head: 90501652 x 2
Gasket, Inlet to Inlet bridge: 90501653 x 3
Gasket, Inlet to Plenum O rings: 9118135 x 6
Sealant, Black: 90485251
Breather bridge to plenum seal: 90467543
Breather bridge to throttle O ring: 90500983 x 4

Thats all needed asap. Don't think I've missed anything

Also:

Manifold/front pipe gasket: 90499289 x 2
Radio Cage CCRT700: 9146050

And yet again, one other question, a suitable wire to clean the breathers with?

Thanks  :y

Excellent, thank you. Just to confirm: the gaskets are genuine VX?

And what would you do, post them to me? Or are you local?

Thanks again  :y

The hangaround works for VX, so yes...the parts are genuine.

I'm in Aldershot, but if you want them posting then you'll have to add postage on top of the prices I post back.
