perhaps you should sell the Astra and fix the Omega. Same petrol consumption, but a lot more fun getting there  :y

Something isn't right then James... If you're getting 42mpg on Petrol then you should be getting around 33mpg at worst...

Can't guess what though but thouse Necam systems are a bit Pants anyway ::) ::)

Thing is mate - it would probably cost £200 to get it serviced and sorted - and I could buy a stag front end for not much more - which I can connect to, configure, and monitor...  :-X ::)

Ah but with the engine out you could convert it easily. I recently bought a 2nd hand OMVL 21N system for £140. And it came from a Mig 2.2. And the chap kept the inlet manifold for me, so I had no drilling silly holes, breaking taps etc. I haven't quite finished getting it installed yet, I have a vertical toroid but am still trying to figure out how to run the LPG pipes down and not upset LPGA regs.

As it happens, I have 2 spare LPG tanks which I will be flogging sometime soon. This could start you off.

Did not know it was that bad, so at best 44-46mpg running costs wise  :-/  :(

Kinda makes a 2.2 DTi Omega a better option, as 50mpg is achievable.  :-/

Except a 2.2 DTi doesn't quite go as well. ;)

True, or sound as nice. But you get full use of the boot.

Not sure how that could happen.  :o I suppose anything's possible if you go to one of the less scrupulous LPGA cowboys registered installers.

60 Litres or a 60 litre tank? Bear in mind that the tank will only fill to 80%. Even in the worst case that's 19 MPG. 13p a mile at today's prices. What's not to like? Even a poverty spec 7 series would be costing well over 20p a mile on petrol.

Looking the picture definitely not worth..

although the consumption figures may be correct there are many factors effecting .. like the setup of LPG set,ECU parameters and the conditions of its parts , also cars engine conditions etc etc.. But looking around I see a different picture from Astra LPG users..  :-/

James, a friend of mine runs a Astra 1.8 Estate with factory fit LPG, talking to him he gets the equivalent to about 65 to 70 Mpg on Gas (if you work it backwards cost per fill up).

Think we worked it out to about 6.5p a mile on gas and 13.5p on petrol, He doesn’t run on petrol but seems to remember petrol was about 36 MPG.

So, totally different figures there, maybe you got some unburnt gas going on, or a minor leak.

Is it Single or Multi Point?, if its Single most common issues are air leaks or worn hoses from the Air Filter onwards?

Chris.

Ps, forgot to mention I sometimes run around is a BM 318s manual with single point Lpg, that does about 7.5p on gas, and it struggles to do more than 30 mpg on petrol.  :y
