Cup Holder Mod.
« on: 27 September 2009, 22:37:28 »

Ok don’t all take the pi$$ but I really miss a descent cup holder in the mig….. (waits for the laughing to stop)

So I fitted one and I thought I’d show you to see what you think, although after the foot well light someone else was talking about I’m not sure I want to ask!!!

Top after fitting

Font after fitting

with it open

As you can see it's fitted to the underside of the armrest!

Ok let the abuse commence!

definetly one of my main gripe with the omega interior is the lack of cup holder!

looks good. Like it. Just dont tip the arm rest up with drinks in it. Sort of blocks the hand brake though.

But do you not have the rubber drink holder insert under the arm rest? Only a single though.

I found the rubber one is too far back and you have to have the armrest up for that plus as you said theres only one there. As for the handbrake I've got auto drivers disease and have fogotten what it's for!!!

Yep, but it's an auto so you can get away without using a handbrake when stopping for a cuppa :y and if you are driving then you don't need it anyway.
Looks good to me...... :y

In thirty years of driving I've never had need of a cup holder.  ::)

Yea I can do a how to if you're intrested, but for now the cup holder is a mk4 golf or bora REAR cup holder like this one

I paid about £15 for it on eBay. :y
