SOLD!
« on: 01 October 2009, 11:55:44 »

Thats the wee Rover gone!

My brother didn't like it, I had no need for it, so after a few spanner twirling moments.

A nice wee £100 profit, a car in good heath, and a happy driver.

I always knew if I had to sell it, it wouldn't be a huge money spinner, but a nice wee result all the same.

Shame he didn't like it, as they are cracking little cars, and tend to be mega reliable, HG aside.

They are bigger than anything else in class by a country mile - our 25 is noticibly more roomy inside cabin and in boot than our Focus that we had at same time.  Only rear headroom tends to let it done.

Also, I found the 1.1 in a 25 (the local dealer used a 1.1 25 as a courtesy car) was surprisingly good around town.  Took some winding up on motorway, mind. That said, when up to cruising speed, would sit happily....

Agreed with that TB, apart from headgaskets they seem to be ultra reliable, have a good boot and not bad rear legroom  :y

I intend to find out soon if the improved MLS gasket, possibly with new oil/ladder rail cures the issue.  Just finding time when she doesn't need the car for a couple of weeks...

I'm with you on small cars, and for lanky people, passenger seat height not adjustable.

However, I've done reasonably journeys in it (100m +) with no aches and pains like Astras, Corsas, Focus and similar

I did Northwich to Lochmaddy and back in mine, approx 1000 miles. I couldn't stand straight for about a week ;D
