Driver's Footrest.
« on: 02 October 2009, 18:24:49 »

Is it just me and my size 11s or does anyone else have a problem in resting their left foot, on long drives or in my case all the time as I have an auto, surely the small protrusion on the left of the footwell is not large enough for this purpose. I have driven many smaller cars with a more than adequate footrest, often a metal plate.Does Vauxhall supply this as a bolt on accessory

I never use mine. Though you're quite correct, they are a bad design :(

I agree, not really big enough, I did consider fitting a carpet covered plywood footrest, but never got round to it.

The omega is one of the best ive found for holding my size 13's.

auto easier than the manual though, pain to tuck it out the way and bring it back.

drove an auto vectra 100 miles the other week, no footroom in there.

My Reflection had the driver involvement pack, and it accomodated my size 11's adequately.

Mind you, the Mazda's pedal area is spot on for size 11's.

Prob the same as the auto Mig though, only drove Rockabelly's once and I dont really remember it.

cant say i had any problems with the one in my auto, but then on longer hauls i sat with my foot flat on the floor lol

put my foot there in the manual today and you are right - it could be doing with being a bit wider lol

a lot more space on autos since there is no clutch, but even with my manual i still find it excellent for my size 12's

WHen I'm driving round town my left foot is normally flat on the floor, on a motorway run it's either on the edge of my seat or the centre console ;D It's nice to have an elbow rest ;D

If they were that big I'd never find the beautiful shoes I like to wear, although it would save me a fortune!! ::) ::) :D :D ;)
